Shedding a person

I currently have enough excess weight for a small person to be living in my body with me.

Actually? Not even a small person. A normal sized person. 129 pounds! My college-aged daughter weighs less. I am carrying a whole other person's worth of weight with me. No wonder I'm tired all the time. I don't need a CPAP, I need this weight off. I want it off.

All the blog posts entered for 1/31/08 are previous posts from my personal blog tagged with "The Weight", in chronological order. Anything after that is since SP...and I hope, finally...success.

I gotta say...some of those previous posts were pretty funny. So, if you have a few minutes and want a chuckle, check them out.

Any recipes you see that I have submitted...? Super easy. I don't do difficult food prep.

Wow. Looking at it like that it seems really attainable! About 2.5 pounds a week...and that is doable! Cool.

My Goals:
Lose weight, feel better, live longer. Yadda. You know the drill. Let's DO this, already! Watch my progress on my ticker. Not as exciting as the Biggest Loser, but I'm pretty sure I won't get voted off!

My Program:
Trying to keep it fairly low carb, watch my calories and exercise. Why does exercise have to be so heinous?

Personal Information:
California girl...living in Texas. Allergic to the whole dang state. Actually having needles stuck into me on a weekly basis [acupuncture] to see if it helps. So far, so good. Seriously!

Love my husband and my awesome Bengal kittybaby, Ansel.

Cyndi, thanks for the kind words on my page-I am really having a hard time sticking with this right now! I walked yesterday and rode my exercise bike 5 minutes last night but am questioning my choice of atkins, i am leaning towards going with a different plan. Just not sure what to do, quite honestly I do not know what to do, A couple of years ago I went to a dietician and weighed in w/her weekly, kept a food log and was VERY successful. However, she left our local hospital and the person who replaced her did not offer this. I have recently emailed her and told her of my endeavors and about this site-she is reviewing me and may counsel me again online! I would love this, we used the AHA plan of so many protien, so many carbs, so many fat, I really did well, but it is so different that atkins and with summer coming on, I just am afraid that I cannot stay away from fruit and fresh garden produce all summer, I dont know why i am rambling on to you, but just needed to tell someone. HI and welcome to the "I Hate Exercise" team. I know you will love the team as much as I do. They are a great bunch of people and very motivating, supportive and caring. And they are wonderful at giving out "warm fuzzies" whenever someone needs it.

We are a very chatty bunch once we've had our coffee, and so feel free to jump right in and join us. We have a daily thread that we post on when you get the chance and several other threads too. Including a venting thread when you just need to get it out of your system. And it doesn't just have to be about dieting. I look forward to getting to know you better.
