Facing the facts...
July 2007 I've gone up and down in weight since I was a teen. Since being married (5 yrs) and having my daughter (she just turned 1) I am at my highest weight ever. I want to accept the fact that losing weight will take work and commitment and won't just happen. I would like to be a good example to my daughter so she will grow up with good eating habits. 12/29 --End of Year Update 188.8 - 168.2 Looking over my intro. I've done pretty good in the last 5 months. I've lost 20 pounds and have so much more of an awareness of how many calories are in the foods we eat. One area I could improve upon though is feeding my daughter healthy foods. I still don't do well with getting in my vegetables. It is more of a planning thing. I will have to strategize about this... Keyword for 2008 ------DEPENDENCE (as in dependence on God and not on myself!) July 25th 2008 (Spark Anniversary!) Weight 155.2 33.6 pounds released. :o) A year has gone by... I regret not getting started sooner but at least I did not stay the same or gain more weight which is what would have happened if I had not found Spark. Thanks be to GOD because I know HE led me here! I'm slacking in the exercise dept but doing much better on my New Year's goal which was to start eating more fruits and vegetables. I'm pretty consistant at getting 5 CUPS of veggies a day. I'm finding that planning is everything though. Recently I have not had time to go to the store and have struggled to find "freggies" to eat. 1/2/2009 End of year review: Not a lot happened between July's recap and now. I DID manage to hit the 35 pounds lost goal but that was about it! Keyword for 2009: (still thinking)

Other Information:
I've had this quote on my page but I'm trying to slim it down so I've moved it down here. I put it on my page early in my spark journey. Before I knew how true it would be! "Every one who wishes to gain true knowledge must climb the Hill Difficulty alone, and since there is no royal road to the summit, I must zigzag in it my own way. I slip back many times, I fall, I sand still, I run against the edge of hidden obstacles, I lose my temper and find it again and keep it better. I trudge on, I gain a little, I feel encouraged, I get more eager and climb higher and begin to see the widening horizon. Every struggle is a victory. One more effort and I reach the luminous cloud, the blue depths of the sky the uplands of my desire." Helen Keller in her book "The Story of My Life"
